Pep Guardiola has compared the playing style of Arsenal to Napoli, who are widely considered as the most entertaining team in Europe currently.
With Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Victor Osimhen leading Luciano Spalletti’s breathtaking Napoli side, that is a huge compliment from Guardiola to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
Many strongly feel that Arsenal have been the most aesthetically pleasing team in the Premier League, with many likening them to the ‘Centurions’ side in the 2017/2018 campaign.
But coming from one of the greatest managers of all time, the Gunners camp should be all smiles and deservedly so.
Pep Guardiola compares the Arsenal way to Napoli
Squawka had revealed that the London giants are one of only two teams in Europe to have three players with 10 or more goals in the league alongside Paris Saint-Germain, which is telling.
Speaking to Sky Italia, Pep Guardiola has paid Arsenal a huge compliment by comparing their footballing identity to Napoli, who he rates incredibly highly.

“Napoli are perhaps the best team in Europe this season. In terms of playing style, they are close to Arsenal. Then [AC] Milan are back, Inter too. They have both qualified [for the Champions League quarter-finals].”
Pep Guardiola is on the money
Not just in terms of entertainment but even completeness, Arsenal, a team Pep Guardiola clearly admires may be up there with Napoli as the finest on the planet based on this season.
Much like the champions-elect in Serie A, Mikel Arteta’s men have combined a possession-dominant style of play with quick, direct wide players like Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli to be a complete headache to face.
And in terms of just an aesthetical point of views as well, it’s hard to poke holes in the side when it comes to any aspect as they are a sight to behold on most matchdays.
