Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United have received a boost in their quest to sign Yves Bissouma from Brighton and Hove Albion in the January transfer window.
The Times have reported that Brighton are willing to sell Bissouma in the final days of the January transfer window.
The Daily Mail reported earlier this week than the Seagulls are looking for £50 million in transfer fees for the Mali international midfielder, described as “sensational” by Arsenal legend Ian Wright on Wrighty’s House Podcast in August 2021.
Bissouma is Newcastle’s number one midfield target, according to The Daily Mail.
The Sunday Mirror (09/01, p71) have reported that Arsenal are interested in the 25-year-old midfielder.

Could Arsenal or Newcastle sign Yves Bissouma?
In our view, if Arsenal or Newcastle pay £50 million for Bissouma, then it is very likely that they will get him.
Brighton are reportedly willing to sell the 25-year-old even with just three days left in the January transfer window.
In our view, that is encouraging for Arsenal and Newcastle.
However, in our opinion, if the Gunners and the Magpies want Bissouma, then they have to start working on it now.
Personal terms and medical do take time.
