Arsenal are aware that they need to reward Gabriel Martinelli with a new contract because of his superb performances, according to The Daily Mail.
The report has claimed that Arsenal are in talks with Martinelli’s camp over a new deal.
The Gunners know that they need to reward the Brazil international forward with a new contract and raise his weekly salary of £70,000, according to the report.
Arsenal will have to pay Martinelli £200,000 per week, according to The Daily Mail, who have claimed that Chelsea are interested in the 21-year-old.
Martinelli is reportedly under contract at Arsenal until 2024, with the North London club also holding an option to extend the contract of the forward who “looks like a superstar”, according to former Liverpool star Jamie Carragher on Sky Sports Premier League (7:34pm, October 10, 2022).

Arsenal should reward Gabriel Martinelli
In our view, Arsenal should hand Gabriel Martinelli a new contract and keep him happy.
The Brazilian is playing extremely well at the moment, and given that he is only 21 now, there is every reason to believe that he will get better and improve in the coming years.
However, handing a 21-year-old who is on £70,000-a-week a new deal worth £200,000 per week does seem excessive.
After all, Martinelli has made only 66 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
And Arsenal are not even in the UEFA Champions League this season.
Maybe Arsenal should increase the youngster’s weekly salary to between £110,000 and £130,000.
