Arsenal want Jesper Lindstrom but the Eintracht Frankfurt star seemingly didn’t impress the German media against Tottenham Hotspur.

Frankfurt were in Champions League action on Tuesday night as they hosted Tottenham.

The Bundesliga side posed a major threat but just couldn’t quite break Tottenham down.

It was the same the other way though as Tottenham carved out some great chances but couldn’t break the deadlock.

A 0-0 draw was possibly the fairest outcome even if it wasn’t the ideal result for either side.

Arsenal want Jesper Lindstrom

Arsenal may well have been watching Tuesday’s game with interest given that Frankfurt had one of their targets in action.

Playmaker Jesper Lindstrom started for Frankfurt, joining Daichi Kamada in playing just behind striker Randal Kolo Muani.

The Dane is believed to be on Arsenal’s radar ahead of a potential 2023 move.

Calciomercato claim that Arsenal fancy Lindstrom and Bild are backing that up, suggesting that Arsenal could launch a £17million move.

Seeing Lindstrom in action against Tottenham was a perfect chance for Arsenal to analyse their target against a top rival – but it didn’t go to plan.

Lindstrom had a golden chance to score in the second half but fired his shot well over the bar.

The German media haven’t exactly been raving about Lindstrom in the aftermath of that game.

Frankfurter Rundschau rated Lindstrum as ‘quite ok’, claiming that the chance he missed was a ‘first-class’ opportunity.

They noted that it was ‘difficult’ for Lindstrom to impact the game against Tottenham despite his strong Bundesliga form this season.

Bild rated Lindstrom at 4/5, with one being the top rating and five the lowest, rueing that he missed such a great chance to score.

If Arsenal were watching Lindstrom against Tottenham, they may well have been left a little underwhelmed by the attacking midfielder.
