Arsenal want Jesper Lindstrom and the Eintracht Frankfurt star is being hailed in Denmark despite their World Cup elimination.
Many were backing Denmark to be dark horses at this World Cup.
Yet the Danes picked up just one point before heading into Wednesday’s crunch clash against Australia.
Matthew Leckie’s goal gave Australia the 1-0 win, sending them through to the last 16 and sending Denmark packing.
Three games, one point, bottom of the group – this was a huge disappointment for Denmark.

Arsenal target Jesper Lindstrom praised despite Denmark nightmare
Denmark looked a little toothless in attack at times, as seen by just one goal in their three games.
The lack of a top striker appeared to really hamper Denmark and Kasper Hjulmand seemingly couldn’t settle on a centre forward.
There are some exciting Danes coming through though and one of them showed promise in Qatar.
Eintracht Frankfurt star Jesper Lindstrom was only a substitute against Tunisia but started against France and Australia.
The 22-year-old was a real threat against France with his pace and energy whilst he looked one of the more likely players against Australia.
Bundesliga fans will have already known of Lindstrom’s quality.
Lindstrom has bagged six goals and two assists in 14 Bundesliga games this season and looks destined for a big move.
Arsenal are very keen; Calciomercato claim that Arsenal are keen on Lindstrom and Bild are backing that up, suggesting that Arsenal could launch a £17million move.
The Gunners may fancy adding Lindstrom given that he can play on either flank or as a number 10, offering perfect versatility for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Lindstrom couldn’t keep Denmark in the World Cup but he did impress the Danish press.
Ekstrabladet raved about Lindstrom’s early nutmeg and suggested that ‘the potential is huge’ with him, but he was let down by more experienced players in the Denmark team.
Denmark really need to build around Lindstrom moving forward – and Arsenal would be wise to move before somebody else does.
