Arsenal will have one eye on the North London derby with Tottenham Hotspur on October 1.

First, the Gunners face Brentford and Spurs host Leicester City over the weekend.

But both North London rivals will be looking forward to meeting one another after the international break.

And Arsenal could have a timely fitness boost for their visit of Antonio Conte’s outfit.

According to Football London, Oleksandar Zinchenko will miss the clash against Brentford on Sunday.

But the report claims that the Ukraine international could be available for his return against Tottenham two weeks later.

Mikel Arteta’s side won their first five Premier League games of the campaign, losing to Manchester United a couple weeks ago.

And Zinchenko’s instant impact at Arsenal was a major reason behind the Gunners’ early-season form and as excellent as Kieran Tierney is, the former Manchester City player – a £32 million summer signing – appears to be top dog in regards to left-back at the Emirates Stadium.

If he’s available then suffice to say that the prospect of a home victory increases in a big way and the Spanish manager will be desperate to have him involved.

Of course, Arsenal have other injury concerns too, but Thomas Partey – according to Football London again – could be available as early as this weekend and Arteta will want the Ghana international to have some minutes under his belt before Tottenham come to town.
