Will Arsenal sign Joao Felix? Well according to speculation, they’re ahead of Manchester United, anyway.
Earlier in December, 90 Min reported that the Gunners and Old Trafford outfit have been offered the chance to sign Felix from Atletico Madrid.
The Portugal international joined for £113 million back in 2019 [Daily Mail] but the transfer hasn’t yet worked out.
And now, The Record have reported that Arsenal’s pursuit of the 23-year-old is considered ‘more advanced’ than that of Manchester United’s efforts.

The report – written by Duncan Castles – has added that Atleti are willing to Felix join a Premier League club in January.
But immediately, only on loan.
Will Arsenal sign Joao Felix?
Well that remains to be seen, but it makes sense.
With Gabriel Jesus absent until March, Arsenal need another attacker to come in next month, perhaps even more than Manchester United.
And although Felix isn’t a traditional number nine, he could, in theory, operate on the left-hand side of attack, allowing Gabriel Martinelli to move centrally in the short term.
Mikel Arteta has already revealed that he’s open to experimenting with Martinelli through the middle and the addition of someone like Felix would make that more realistic, particularly with Reiss Nelson now injured, too.
