‘Arsenal fans won’t like it’: Harry Redknapp sends Mikel Arteta stark Tottenham warning

Harry Redknapp has warned Arsenal that Tottenham will ‘still’ be in front of them at the end of this season and he sees them falling ‘well short’ of challenging at the top.

The former Premier League manager told Sky Sports (05/10/20 at 10:55 pm) that he is well aware that Arsenal fans ‘won’t like’ what he is saying.

Both clubs in North London have had a productive summer transfer window and the mood in each respective camp is a positive one.

Even though Arsenal managed to secure the deadline-day signing of Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid, Redknapp seemingly warned Mikel Arteta as to where his team are at.

“No, they are still well short,” Redknapp told Sky Sports. “Still well short. I don’t see them challenging Liverpool or Man City.

“I know the Arsenal fans won’t like it. But I still see Tottenham in front of Arsenal.”

Towards the back end of last season, both Jose Mourinho and Arteta, who had arrived at their respective clubs one month apart, managed to revive the season at those previously struggling clubs.

But the real pressure is on now.

Both will be expected to secure Champions League football and potentially add a domestic trophy to their cabinet.
