A few days ago, Fabio Vieira sent Arsenal fans into a bit of panic after he was seen wearing a protective boot.
It was only on June 21st that a £34m deal for the Portuguese playmaker was confirmed by the Gunners, so many Arsenal fans felt their big-money signing had already picked up an injury.
Now, however, the fanbase can breath a huge sigh of relief.
What’s the story?
Well, a fresher picture of Vieira has now been released by Arsenal, which shows him cycling with no protective boot in sight.
Therefore, it seems the 22-year-old has recovered from his foot injury.
You can see the picture of Vieira below.
The Portugal Under-21 international is clearly all smiles at Arsenal’s pre-season training camp in Germany, where he will hope to impress Mikel Arteta ahead of the Premier League opener against Crystal Palace on August 5th.
Vieira – obviously – wouldn’t have been able to do that while carrying an injury, so he is probably just as delighted as the Arsenal fans after shaking off his foot problem.
The Emirates Stadium faithful must be desperate to see their new playmaker in action, after he shone in Portugal with seven goals and 16 assists for Porto last season.
Arsenal have a gem in Fabio Vieira

In our view, Arteta now has his own Bernardo Silva.
Just like the Manchester City star, Vieira is capable of playing in a number of positions across the field.
Last season – as Transfermarkt shows – Porto used Vieira on both the left and right flanks, as well as in a second-striker role. He was also deployed as an attacking midfielder, as well as at the base of midfield.

Over the course of a season, this versatility will be crucial to Arteta, and we can see Vieira quickly becoming a fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium.
Hopefully, he can avoid anymore injuries, and build up his fitness while in Germany.
