Arsenal lost again on Sunday as they were beaten 2-0 by Chelsea, but summer signing Nuno Tavares was one rare shining light.
The Gunners needed a response after a 2-0 defeat at Brentford, but just weren’t a match for Thomas Tuchel’s Blues.
Romelu Lukaku marked his second Chelsea debut with a goal, before Reece James added a second in a dominant first-half showing.
Arsenal just couldn’t get back into the game and drew another blank in front of the goal as the wait goes on for a first strike of the season.
There wasn’t a great deal for Arsenal fans to shout about in this game, but substitute Tavares seemingly impressed Gunners supporters with his performance.
Tavares, a summer signing from Benfica, was brought on for the injured Kieran Tierney in the second half as he made his second Premier League appearance.

Arsenal fans have been taking to Twitter to praise Tavares, suggesting that he was ‘fantastic’ against Chelsea.
Others think he looks very promising, much better than Sead Kolasinac and a capable deputy for Tierney, noting that he was a lot better than expected after being mocked by Benfica fans.
