Patrice Evra agreed that Arsenal fans should ‘worry’ about Antonio Conte because, alongside Fabio Paratici, he thinks they are working ‘miracles’ at Tottenham Hotspur.

The former Juventus left-back would have seen Conte showcasing his talents in Turin, as well as Paratici’s work in the boardroom and stated that the latter is someone who is ‘really important’, as he told Amazon Prime Sport (19/10/22 at 7:20 pm).

The mood around Hotspur Way was pretty low when Conte took charge last November and a lot of stones were being thrown at those upstairs because of where the club was potentially heading.

Conte already had a prior relationship with the Spurs transfer guru and margining director, so that helped matters in every sense.

From Paratici being that cushion between two highly-demanding and no-nonsense individuals in Conte and Daniel Levy to their knowledge of the Serie A market.

Evra knows both of them very well and agreed that Arsenal fans should be worried about what is cooking on the other side of north London.

“I know him very well (Conte),” said Evra. “I will back what the boss (Roberto Martinez) says about the transfer window in January. We forget someone really important, it’s Fabio Paratici.

“I had him when I was at Juventus. When they work together. They do miracles. What Thierry (Henry) just says, Antonio (Conte), he has those players angry. They want to win. They need trophies, so they will follow him.

“When he came to Chelsea. He had the same players as Jose Mourinho and he wins the league straight away because of his method. I really wish he was a Man United manager. But now we have ten Hag.

“As Thierry Henry says, the Arsenal fans have to worry because Conte is in the house.”

TOTTENHAM AND ARSENAL GOING STRONG

It has been a very long while since both Tottenham and Arsenal were, not just competing at the top together, but both having genuine reasons to believe that this could be a special season for them.

Both have gone about it in many different ways with Mikel Arteta going down some tricky roads with the Gunners and now being in a position where he has one of the most vibrant and young squads in the Premier League.

There is more experience at Tottenham, both on and off the field, and perhaps one of the best players in the world in Harry Kane.

Arsenal are more easy-on-the-eye and have players ascending towards the top at a frightening speed. Whatever happens across the Premier League this season, one of the more exciting battles will be who comes out on top between Arsenal and Spurs.
