Brighton & Hove Albion will tell clubs interested in Alexis Mac Allister they want more than Arsenal paid for Ben White. The Gunners and Tottenham Hotspur are both eying a transfer.
That is according to 90min, which reports the Seagulls feel Mac Allister’s form at the World Cup has skyrocketed his value. Now, the Seagulls will not let the Argentina midfielder leave the Amex Stadium for less than £50m. Even though they only signed him for £7m in 2019.

Arsenal paid Brighton £50m in July 2021 to seal White’s arrival following his England debut that June. The 25-year-old is now one of the most important players in Mikel Arteta’s team at Emirates Stadium. He is also a fan’s favourite with his form at centre-half and right-back.

Mac Allister could now be the next big-ticket item to come off the shelves at Brighton after Marc Cucurella. Chelsea signed the Spaniard in August for £62m after Yves Bissouma went to Tottenham for an initial £25m. The midfielder’s switch to Spurs could rise to over £30m.
Brighton feel Mac Allister is now worth around the same as White after winning the World Cup in Qatar. Their mammoth price tag may also prove to be a stumbling block for the 24-year-old’s suitors. Juventus are one team exploring his services but are limited financially.

Arsenal and Tottenham are interested in Mac Allister’s transfer from Brighton
90min add that Atletico Madrid are also on red alert to Mac Allister’s potential having also shone with the Seagulls. He flew to Qatar having netted five goals over 14 Premier League appearances this season. The Santa Rosa native has started in all of his matches this term.
But Juventus and the Colchoneros are far from alone in targeting the 14-cap midfielder for 2023 swoops. CalcioMercatoWeb has reported that Antonio Conte has told Tottenham to sign Mac Allister. While AS credits Arsenal with an interest in the Brighton star’s transfer.

Reports by La Repubblica also now add Liverpool to the growing list of teams targeting his signature. The Italian publication further cites Juventus as a potential landing spot for the Argentinos Juniors product with Benfica in Portugal and Borussia Dortmund in Germany.
Yet should Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham or one of their European rivals truly want Mac Allister’s transfer from Brighton, they face paying a hefty sum. Yet Graeme Souness has lauded the Argentine’s ‘sublime’ passing ability and believes a move has ‘very little risk’.
