Arsenal are pressing ahead with their attempts to sign Brazilian talent Danilo having held new talks over a potential summer deal.

That’s according to Bolavip, who claim that Arsenal have opened new talks to try and force through an early deal for Danilo, months in advance of the summer window.

It’s stated that Arsenal already had a look into signing Danilo during the January window but didn’t pull the trigger on a move.

Arsenal allegedly know that Palmeiras aren’t going to sell Danilo easily, and their current stance is that Danilo isn’t for sale at any price.

Of course, that is just a sales tactic and every player has their price.

The report claims that Palmeiras are willing to sell for upwards of €15million (£12.5million), which fits into Arsenal’s budget.

Edu knows the Brazilian market well and helped bring Gabriel Martinelli to Arsenal, so the hopes if that he can find more Martinellis.

Danilo could be that player having emerged as one of the top young talents over in Brazil.

Primarily a defensive midfielder, Danilo already has 89 first-team appearances for Palmeiras at the age of just 20.

With five goals and five assists along the way, Danilo has shown that he can also make an impact in the final third when called upon.

A player who aspires to be like N’Golo Kante, Danilo could be an exciting young midfielder but is he ready for the Premier League?

South American football expert Tim Vickery has suggested that it’s ‘hard to imagine’ Danilo making an immediate impact in England’s top flight.

Vickery believes that Danilo is a long-term project, and that may be a little too similar to Albert Sambi Lokonga if Arsenal go for another midfielder this summer.

Maybe Edu would like to sign Danilo and get him loaned out elsewhere before becoming an Arsenal star, but £12.5million would be a lot to pay for that kind of signing.

The Brazilian press seem convinced that Arsenal are pushing hard for Danilo, so this is one to keep an eye on in the coming months.
