Joao Felix showed Arsenal fans what they missed out on earlier today with a superb performance against West Ham.
The Chelsea No.11 – who rejected Arsenal in favour of the Blues, according to The Athletic – scored his first goal in English football as the west Londoners drew 1-1 in east London.
As shown by WhoScored, Felix registered two shots on target and two key passes, while also embarking on two successful dribbles – the Portugal international won three fouls for his side as well.
Furthermore, the 23-year-old showed his industrial side with three successful tackles.
If there were any Arsenal fans watching his stunning display with a feeling of jealously, there may soon be a second chance to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.
What’s the story?
Well, if results continue in this manner for Chelsea, we can’t see Felix staying beyond his loan spell.
The Blues now sit ninth after a 0-0 stalemate against Fulham and today’s 1-1 draw with West Ham, leaving them nine points away from the Champions League positions at the time of writing.
Chelsea do not have an option or obligation to buy Felix permanently, and with Arsenal practically guaranteed a place in the Champions League next season barring a huge collapse, he may opt to join the Gunners rather than stay with the Blues if they miss out on the top four.

If that scenario does end up happening, Mikel Arteta and Edu have to make another move for Felix.
Dropping into a No.10 role while also acting as a No.9 at times, the Portuguese sensation is very similar to Gabriel Jesus, and he would seemingly fit into Arsenal’s style of play with ease.
If Graham Potter fails to turn the situation around for Chelsea, then Arsenal could have themselves a second shot at signing Felix this summer.
