Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal need to increase their bid by £10 million to sign Tottenham Hotspur target Lisandro Martinez from Ajax in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.

The Sun have reported that Arsenal are willing to pay £35 million to Ajax for central defender Martinez.

Manchester United are also claimed to be keen on the 24-year-old left-sided central defender.

The Sun have reported that Ajax are looking for £45 million as transfer fee for Martinez.

Arsenal over Tottenham Hotspur for Lisandro Martinez

The Athletic have reported that Lisandro Martinez is open to a move to Arsenal, which suggests that the Gunners could get him ahead of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

All that the Gunners need to do is increase their bid to £45 million.

Now, Arsenal are already willing to pay £35 million for the Argentine, so maybe Technical Director Edu and manager Mikel Arteta should look at increasing the offer by £10 million and getting a deal done.

Martinez made 23 starts and one substitute appearances in the Eredivisie last season.

The Argentine scored one goal and gave three assists in those games.
