Arsenal could be without Aaron Ramsdale for Monday night’s massive Premier League clash against Crystal Palace, with the England international still nursing a hip injury.
According to the Daily Mail, the 23-year-old is rated 50/50 on featuring for Arsenal in their upcoming fixture against the Eagles. Ramsdale missed the Gunners’ last Premier League match against Aston Villa as well as the Three Lions’ March fixtures due to injury.
Whilst Bernd Leno kept a clean sheet during Arsenal’s trip to Villa Park, Ramsdale has asserted himself as one of the best shot-stoppers in the Premier League, with the young keeper becoming a key part of Mikel Arteta’s backline.
As per the report, Ramsdale, who was hailed as ‘fantastic’ by Steve Nicol, is making good progress in recovering from his knock, yet it could be too early for the former Sheffield United star to return to Premier League action, with Arteta previously being guilty of bringing key players back before they are fully fit from injury.
A £30m signing last summer, Ramsdale has been a revelation at Arsenal this season, yet with Leno performing well against Villa and Palace being without Wilfried Zaha and Michael Olise, the Gunners could be fine with the England star out through injury.
Indeed, keeping a clean sheet will be half the battle in Arsenal claiming three points against Palace, and with Ramsdale likely to miss the trip down to south London, fans will be hopeful Leno can exhibit his best qualities.
Leno can redeem Arsenal’s trust with Ramsdale out through injury

It’s easy to forget that for the past three seasons, Leno has a reasonable shout of being Arsenal’s best and most consistent player, with the German international single-handily saving Arteta’s side numerous points and keeping games either tied or won.
And if the 29-year-old delivers once again on Monday with Ramsdale likely to miss the fixture through injury, Leno would have more than redeemed himself with Arsenal fans and Arteta in what is a must-win game for the Gunners next week.
