Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Raheem Sterling, who is on the radar of Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea as well.
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur linked with Raheem Sterling
The Mirror reported in June that Tottenham are interested in signing Sterling from Premier League rivals Manchester City in the summer transfer window.
It was also The Mirror who reported last month that Arsenal are among the clubs keen on securing the services of the former Liverpool attacking midfielder, who earns £300,000 per week as salary (Spotrac).
Earlier this week, The Guardian reported that Chelsea are planning to make a bid for Sterling, who can also play as a winger.
The report added that Premier League champions Manchester City are willing to sell the 27-year-old – described as “world class” and “phenomenal” by former Manchester United central defender Rio Ferdinand on his YouTube channel in February 2022 – to the Blues.

Too expensive for Gunners
Well-known and well-respected journalist Dean Jones has told GiveMeSport that Arsenal cannot afford to pay Sterling’s salary, which will boost Chelsea and Tottenham’s chances of signing the four-time Premier League winner.
Jones told GiveMeSport: “There have been whispers of Arsenal going for Sterling but there is very little chance of them jumping in on that deal to revenge at Chelsea for bidding on Raphinha.
“The main issue, away from the level they’re at, is the wages. I’m told they just can’t compete at his pay level.”
Stats
Sterling made 23 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Premier League for City last season.
The Englishman scored 13 goals and gave five assists in those games.
