Arsenal continue to be linked with new strikers and it sounds like Atletico Madrid attacker Alvaro Morata will be available this summer.
Expect to hear more and more strikers being linked with moves to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are out of contract this summer and look likely to leave Arsenal.
That means Edu needs to go and find at least two strikers to bolster Mikel Arteta’s attacking options.
One name linked in January was Morata as Arsenal eyed a deal that would have divided opinion.
The Times reported on deadline day that Morata was interested in signing for Arsenal before the January cut-off.
An 18-month loan deal with mandatory purchase clause was floated, but Arsenal weren’t willing to accept Atletico’s terms.
That meant Morata was forced to see out the season at Juventus, where he has been on loan for nearly two years now.
The Spaniard is scheduled to return to Atletico this summer – and it sounds like Arsenal will have another chance to sign Morata if they want to.
AS claim that Atletico intend to sell Morata and fancy Benfica striker Darwin Nunez to replace him.
Of course, Arsenal have been heavily linked with Nunez too.
You can imagine that Atletico will want a big chunk of their £58million outlay on Morata back.
So should Arsenal go back in for Morata?
This is a difficult one. Morata’s reputation is that he is not a goalscorer and regularly misses great chances.

That’s not what Arsenal are seeking as they pursue a new striker.
Morata is though incredibly hard-working, he can lead and press from the front and link play well, so he could be a real Lacazette replacement.
His goal record at Juventus hasn’t been terrible either, scoring 31 goals in 88 games across all competitions.
At 29 though, Arsenal need to think about how much they want to spend on a striker with limited resale value.
If Arsenal do go for Morata, he shouldn’t be the leading striker signing, rather complementing a big addition.
Morata’s struggles at Chelsea may not go down well with Arsenal fans, and the Gunners shouldn’t really be focusing on the Spaniard this summer.
