Arsenal are keen on Alvaro Morata and his future is now up in the air with Juventus refusing the chance to sign him permanently.
The Gunners obviously need a new striker this summer with Alexandre Lacazette returning to former club Lyon.
Eddie Nketiah may end up staying at Arsenal but that doesn’t change Arsenal’s need for a quality centre forward.
You can question whether Alvaro Morata actually fits that description but it seems that Arsenal have been showing an interest.
Arsenal are keen on Alvaro Morata
This goes back to the January window where Morata was allegedly keen on signing for Arsenal on deadline day.
Nothing materialised in January but Arsenal’s links to Morata haven’t exactly quietened down.
Tuttomercatoweb reported just last week that Arsenal have made a proposal to Morata head of a possible deal.
It seems that Edu and Mikel Arteta love what Morata can provide even if he isn’t necessarily the most prolific striker ever.
Morata managed just nine league goals this past season whilst picking up seven assists.
The 29-year-old didn’t exactly thrive in the Premier League with Chelsea and Arsenal fans may fear him struggling again.
If Arsenal do want to sign Morata then the window appears to be open.

As reported by Goal, Juventus have an option to sign Morata permanently as part of his loan deal from Atletico Madrid but that option expires today.
Faced with paying €35million (£30million) for Morata, Juventus have said no and will send the Spaniard back to Atletic.
Juventus do want to bring Morata back to Turin, possibly on loan again, meaning they will retain contact with the La Liga side.
Still, with that £30million deal now off the table and Morata now open to moving elsewhere from tomorrow, Arsenal could swoop in and ruin those Juventus hopes.
The likes of Gabriel Jesus and Victor Osimhen should be bigger priorities for Arsenal but the chance to land Morata is now there for the Gunners if they want it.
