Liverpool manager Arne Slot has opened up on his plans for one forward that he has admitted he likes.
Arne Slot was officially unveiled as Liverpool’s new manager last week and the Dutchman certainly has a big job on his hands to replace Jurgen Klopp.
The Dutchman will be given the funds to rebuild the Liverpool squad and the club are understood to have held talks over the potential double signing of Feyenoord defender Lutsharel Geertruida and Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville.
Despite the Reds holding talks with the agent of the pair, French side Paris Saint-Germain are understood to be the favourites for the double signing.

Arne Slot admits he ‘likes’ Liverpool forward
The potential signing of Summerville, in particular, may well spell trouble for Liverpool’s forward line, which is certainly in need of a revamp.
One player who will not be moving away from Anfield this summer, however, is Uruguayan forward Darwin Nunez, who has excelled at Copa America under former Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa.
Slot, as per Fabrizio Romano on X, was asked about what the future holds for Nunez and whether he will fit into his plans for the squad.
“I assume he will fit really well into my playing style because I like him,” Slot said. “I’ve told him already, yes… he is one of the players I have spoken to”.
As mentioned, Nunez has excelled for his national team under Bielsa and was on a seven game scoring streak at one point.
Nunez could be key for Liverpool under Slot
The former SL Benfica was described as ‘tremendous‘ by the Uruguayan press after another brilliant performance for his national team last week.
Having a player like Nunez, who Klopp once claimed had ‘quality coming out of his ears’, can only be a benefit for Slot, who likes to see his side press high and make life difficult for the opposition.
Nunez can certainly do this to a tee and he could well be a key striker for the club next season, despite his struggles at times in England, irrespective of whether they sign Summerville or not.
