Jose Enrique has stated on his Instagram story that Arnaut Danjuma ‘isn’t a good character’, as Tottenham Hotspur are set to hijack Everton’s deal for the Villarreal winger.
The former Premier League left-back was initially reacting to Danjuma joining relegation-threatened Everton, but on Tuesday, there has been a late yet brutal twist for those on Merseyside.
Even after sacking Frank Lampard, the Toffees thought Danjuma was signing, when he posted on social media on Monday night, the likes of Kevin Campbell and Everton fans flooded the comments section excited at his imminent arrival.

Can it get any worse for Everton? Well, it is and the problems are just growing for the 19th-placed side.
But what is going to be the loss for those on Merseyside, is going to be a gain for Antonio Conte’s Tottenham, who beat Fulham 1-0 on Monday night.
Nonetheless, Enrique’s message prior to Spurs coming in for Danjuma is a warning to the club about the Netherlands international.
“Good player, but not a good character in the dressing room from what I hear about him,” said Enrique. “He doesn’t work hard enough either, for me.”
Could Danjuma have kept the Toffees up, well, Enrique added that it would have been 50-50 based on his what he is like around the dressing room. Something for Tottenham fans to note in their Champions League fight.
“So, it’s a big bet from Everton with him. It can go really well and he can actually help them to stay in the Premier League.
“Or create even more problems and get relegated with the team.”

EVERTON IN THE MUD
Those inside need to club need to find some light from somewhere because it’s nothing but doom and gloom, at the moment.
Results out on the pitch aren’t forthcoming, transfer targets are heading elsewhere at the 11th hour, there isn’t a manager in the dugout, perhaps the club’s number one manager target will also get hijacked?!
All in all, if Tottenham thought they had their issues with the likes of Daniel Levy and Joe Lewis, well it’s a different world on Merseyside, that’s for sure.
