Arsenal will be without Thomas Partey for their Premier League opener against Brentford due to injury.
According to Football London, the 28-year-old midfielder will miss the Gunners curtain-raiser for the 2021/22 season. Partey came off in Arsenal’s 2-1 loss to Chelsea over the weekend.
It was a cruel blow for Mikel Arteta’s side. The former Atletico Madrid star had been impressive in pre-season.
However, it will be a relief to the north London side that Partey will likely miss just one game for the north London side.
The mood around Arsenal though, has soured following the injury to Partey. The midfielder was billed to have a huge season for the Gunners after an injury-ridden debut year in England.
However, Partey will no doubt be keen to return to full fitness stronger than ever and to impress Arsenal supporters.

However, on social media, fans are fearing the worst for their early season ambitions with Partey now out injured for the Premier League opener against Brentford.
With Arsenal facing the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City following their clash with Brentford, fans are fearing that Partey will be out of these two huge matches.
