Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has told Football.London that Eric Dier is injured at the moment.
Conte made the comments about Dier after Tottenham’s win against Morecambe in the third round of the FA Cup at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.
The 27-year-old, who can also play as a defensive midfielder, did not play in the match.
According to Tottenham head coach Conte, Dier is injured, but it is not serious.
Eric Dier injured
Conte told Football.London: “Eric Dier yeah, but I hope that’s nothing serious. I hope so.”
Encouraging for Tottenham?
In our opinion, Conte saying that Dier’s injury is not serious is positive for Tottenham.
The Englishman has been superb for Tottenham under the Italian tactician and has established himself as a key figure at the back.

The England international is playing well for Tottenham, and it is encouraging that he will not be out for long.
Remember, Cristian Romero is on the sidelines at the moment, and Tottenham cannot afford another senior and good defender to miss matches.
After all, Spurs are very much in the running for the Premier League top four this season.
