Anthony Gordon has admitted that he hopes one Euro 2024 star joins him at Newcastle United this summer.
The European Championships in Germany has exploded into life with their already being multiple different story lines across the six days of the tournament.
England kicked off their European Championship campaign with a 1-0 win over Serbia thanks to a brilliant first half header from Real Madrid sensation Jude Bellingham.
The performance from the Three Lions was, at times, less than convincing with Serbia posing threats to the England goal with Everton shot-stopper Jordan Pickford keeping the European side at arms length.

There were a few players on the pitch who struggled against Serbia but one star, in Marc Guehi, stood out for the national team.
With Harry Maguire missing the tournament due to the injury problems he has dealt with, Crystal Palace defender Guehi was trusted to start alongside John Stones and he excelled.
HITC have reported that multiple top Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United are interested in the defender and winger Anthony Gordon hopes his side pull off his signature.
“I thought he was unbelievable in that game [vs Serbia] considering his height compared to the strikers they had on,” Gordon told talkSPORT. “He won every header, he was aggressive, intercepting loads and his main strength is composure on the ball, he’s like a midfielder.”
When asked about the links with Newcastle, Gordon said: “I haven’t actually seen the Newcastle links, but it goes without saying I’d absolutely love him to come because he’s a top player and he’d make us a better team.”
Newcastle face competition for Guehi signing
Palace face a battle to hold onto their three key players this summer with Guehi, Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise all linked with moves away this summer.
For Guehi, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are all interested so the Geordie side may well face a battle to land the former Chelsea defender.
His former club are said to be keeping an eye on the defender with the Eagles demanding a fee in the region of £60 million for the 23-year-old.
