Slaven Bilic’s hunt for a new striker goes on at West Ham United after another target bit the dust.

The Hammers have been linked with a host of top strikers this summer but have already missed out on Dutch star Vincent Janssen after he opted to join Spurs as well as Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette despite having a record £31 million bid accepted.
Slaven Bilic also failed with a bid to lure Belgian star Michy Batshuayi who instead joined London rivals Chelsea.
Christian Benteke looks set for a move to West Ham’s London rivals Crystal Palace while Man City outcast Wilfried Bony has been strongly linked with a move to Everton.
Prime target: AC Milan’s Carlos Bacca

The Hammers have being trying to lure AC Milan‘s Colombian star striker Carlos Bacca but that too has been in limbo for weeks.
The situation seemingly changes from one day to the next with some reports claiming Bacca does not want to come to the Premier League and others suggesting he is ready to change his mind and move to East London.
Hammers fans are waiting with bated breath to see if they can finally snare the 20-goal a season striker the club so badly needs.
Another one bites the dust: Simone Zaza
Zaza off the menu
But yet another target looks to be struck off the list after Juventus and Italy striker Simone Zaza flew to Germany where he is expected to complete a move to Wolfsburg.
According to Football Italia, Zaza – who famously missed that bizarre penalty for Italy at Euro 2016 – could complete a move for more than £20.5million, the same figure West Ham have just spent on Andre Ayew from Swansea City.

Striker headache
Zaza is a longstanding target of Bilic and turned down a move to the club back in January.
He impressed as a sub last weekend and grabbed the winner in a 3-2 victory over the Hammers when the Serie A giants came to officially open their new 60,000 seater Olympic Stadium home.
So it is back to the drawing board for the Hammers now with three weeks left of the transfer window.
