Chris Sutton tips Josip Juranovic to increase his value if Croatia do well at the World Cup in Qatar. Celtic are also now braced to receive bids for the full-back during the January sales.
The 27-year-old is facing an uncertain future at Parkhead after losing his place in their line-up under Ange Postecoglou. He has only started eight of the Hoops’ 15 Premiership games so far this term. Juranovic has also only played two of their nine games since September 3.

Postecoglou continued to afford the Zagreb native a key role in the Glasgow outfit’s efforts in Europe. Juranovic played every minute of Celtic’s six Champions League group stage ties this season. Yet the 22-cap ace has only offered one goal and one assist in all competitions.

Despite Juranovic falling out of favour with Celtic, he arrived at the World Cup as Croatia’s first choice at right-back. Zlatko Dalic started the defender during Vatreni’s opening Group F draw with Morocco. Croatia meet Canada on Sunday and will face Belgium on December 1.
Sutton tips Celtic’s Juranovic to add ‘another few quid’ to his value in Qatar
Juranovic could return from representing Croatia at the World Cup to find his future is not at Celtic, as well. The Daily Mail reports the Hoops hierarchy is braced to receive bids after Qatar 2022. The Daily Record also claims the Hoops are lining up replacements for January.

Celtic expect interest in Juranovic to explode after the World Cup in Qatar as Manchester United and Chelsea previously considered transfers. They also want to be prepared in case he does move on as talks for a new contract for Postecoglou’s £2.5m signing in 2021 stall.
Sutton has now noted in his column for the Daily Record that Celtic would not surprise him if they demand more to sell Juranovic in January if he shines at the World Cup. Croatia lost to France in the final at Russia 2018 and will hope to go deep into this year’s tournament.
He wrote: “As soon as a player shows themselves at the World Cup, the prices skyrocket. This can also work in your favour. Should Croatia go deep into this tournament and Josip Juranovic has big performances, you can put another few quid onto his valuation.”
