Celtic are anticipating Josip Juranovic bids amid claims in the summer transfer window that Manchester United want him.

The Bhoys look set to enter the World Cup break sitting top of the Scottish Premiership table.

The Bhoys have dropped just three points in 12 games this season.

Ange Postecoglou’s men may have crashed out of the Champions League but they are shining in domestic games – and interest in Celtic stars is inevitable.

Celtic are anticipating Josip Juranovic bids

The likes of Matt O’Riley, Liel Abada, Kyogo Furuhashi and Jota are likely to have admirers from elsewhere.

All four players have really impressed going forward but defender Josip Juranovic is almost a man in demand.

The Daily Mail report that Celtic are now bracing themselves for real interest in Juranovic after the World Cup.

Juranovic is set to be included in the Croatia squad for the World Cup and will take on Morocco, Canada and Belgium in Qatar.

That will give Juranovic a big stage to show his quality and interest wasn’t exactly lacking anyway.

The Daily Mail reported in August that Chelsea and Manchester United were fighting in the race for Juranovic.

The 27-year-old has impressed for Celtic since joining from Legia Warsaw in 2021.

Juranovic has played as a right back and left back, offering competition on both sides of the back four.

Diogo Dalot is impressing for United but Aaron Wan-Bissaka will surely be looking to move on soon, making a new right back a priority for Erik ten Hag.

Juranovic may fit the bill but Celtic will absolutely put up a big fight.

Juranovic is contracted to Celtic until 2026 so the Bhoys can certainly command a huge profit the £2.5million they paid.

Celtic may be wise to have some right back targets in mind just in case they receive an offer for Juranovic that is just to good to turn down.
