Andrew Tate makes huge claim about Misfits Boxing heavyweight title fight
Andrew Tate says he’s stepping into the ring for Misfits Boxing’s biggest prize, the heavyweight title, but there’s a catch.
The former kickboxing champion is set to face Chase DeMoor in Dubai on December 20, with Misfits’ heavyweight belt on the line. The news has already generated plenty of attention, given Tate’s divisive presence in combat sports and beyond.
But even before stepping into the ring, Tate has put forward a condition that could end up having a major impact on how this fight plays out.
Chase DeMoor forced to accept career-low weight limit for Andrew Tate ‘heavyweight’ bout
Chase DeMoor has had to accept his role as the clear B-side in this fight. Even as the reigning champion, he’s not featured first on promotional material and had little influence over the contract details.
During his first training camp vlog posted on X, it was revealed that DeMoor would need to weigh in at 200lb—the cruiserweight limit—despite defending his heavyweight title against Tate.

DeMoor has never weighed less than 219lb in his boxing career, and at 6’5″, he’s not a particularly heavy presence in the division. In a recent video, he mentioned to fans that he’d have to slim down further.
He stepped onto the scales wearing tracksuit bottoms, socks and sliders, showing a weight of 225lb with more than six weeks until fight night. He stated that he would need to cut down even further before then, saying: “I’m going to have to diet my balls off for this one.”

Tate was at his best in kickboxing when fighting around cruiserweight and held ISKA titles there as well as at light-heavyweight. Though he’s past those days now, recent footage suggests he still carries solid muscle mass and is likely sitting just above 200lb himself.
