Celtic defender Emilio Izaguirre has struggled to feature for Brendan Rodgers’ side this season.

Andrew Robertson has told the Glasgow Evening Times that he believes Celtic defender Emilio Izaguirre is regarded as very unlucky by everyone at Parkhead.
Robertson, who plays for Premier League side Hull City, links up with many members of Celtic’s first-team squad when on international duty with Scotland.
And when talking to the Celtic squad, he says that Izaguirre is always considered to be hugely unfortunate.
Izaguirre has lost his place in Celtic’s line-up in recent years, due to the emergence of the brilliant Kieran Tierney.
Tierney looks to be one of the brightest prospects to have broken through at Celtic for some time.
And Robertson, who is battling with Tierney to be Scotland’s first choice left-back, said: “He’s burst on to the scene and he’s done very well.
“From a young age he’s been very consistent and I think all the Celtic boys say Emilio Izaguirre is the most unfortunate guy because he’s done nothing wrong. It’s just Tierney has been so consistent in his performances.
“I think people forget I’m still young as well because Tierney is now the one coming through, but that’s the way it works.”
Tierney has played a key role for Celtic this season, with Brendan Rodgers regularly talking up the youngster’s talents.
Tierney already seems to have established himself as an important part of Celtic’s defence, but his future is in some doubt.
The youngster has been linked with a range of Premier League club, and dropped a hint on Twitter that a move to Arsenal could appeal (HITC).
Tierney and Robertson are both in the current Scotland squad, with Gordon Strachan’s side set to play Canada in a friendly this evening.
