Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have been linked with N’Golo Kante, but the midfielder has made it clear that he wants to stay at Chelsea.
Arsenal target N’Golo Kante wants Chelsea stay
Kante has told FootballDaily that he wants to stay at Chelsea and sign a new contract with the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners.
The 32-year-old defensive midfielder has said that what Chelsea is an “exciting” project, and that he wants to be part of the London club going forward.
Kante is out of contract at Chelsea at the end of the season.
Arsenal have been linked with the France international midfielder.

FootMercato reported in October 2022 that Arsenal and Tottenham are interested in Kante and are possible options for £290,000-a-week (SalarySport) star as a free agent in the summer of 2023.
According to journalist Pete O’Rourke in GiveMeSport in March, Liverpool are interested in signing Kante on a free transfer in the summer of 2023.
The reporter said that the Reds are hoping to persuade the defensive midfielder to make the switch to Anfield.
In April 2023, Le Parisien quoted Kante’s entourage as saying that Arsenal want to sign the Frenchman.
Summer transfer unlikely now
In our view, Arsenal will not be able to sign Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante in the summer transfer window.
Kante clearly wants to stay at the Blues.
And Chelsea will know that the Frenchman is still a very good player who can help the team for the next two or so years.
Arsenal are doing well at the moment, and although Kante is a very good player, he is 32 now, so manager Mikel Arteta may look at someone younger in midfield.
