The entourage of N’Golo Kante has confirmed that Arsenal did indeed make an enquiry over wrapping up a transfer for him.
The £30 million (BBC Sport) man has largely been injured since last season as it seems his best days are finally behind him.
But it seems Mikel Arteta and Arsenal do not think so whatsoever, as they were clearly interested in a potential transfer for N’Golo Kante.
Arsenal showed interested in N’Golo Kante transfer
Branded as ‘absolutely magic’ by Ally McCoist on talkSPORT, the French midfielder has been renowned as one of the greatest midfielders of his generation.

But ever since being the main man behind Chelsea’s Champions League triumph in 2021, constant injury problems have meant he has barely been available for his side over the last two campaigns.
However, N’Golo Kane seemingly caught the eye of Arsenal with regards to a possible summer transfer, as per his entourage.
“N’Golo would like to continue his career in London, where he has his habits. He liked working with Antonio Conte, but he has been sacked by Tottenham. Arsenal also made an enquiry”, as quoted by Le Parisien.
“I think he will extend his deal at Chelsea before going to the Middle East in two or three years.”
HITC View: Arsenal should steer clear of signing the Chelsea legend
As Kante showcased in his side’s 0-0 draw against Liverpool, he still has it in him to operate at an elite level.
But simply put, N’Golo Kante is far too injury-prone for a transfer involving him to be a smart move for Arsenal.
At 32 years of age as well, the World Cup winner is ageing, which could mean his availability only worsens over time.
As a result, the Gunners should look to sign a younger and far more available defensive-minded midfielder in the summer instead.
