Tam McManus has criticised Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos on Twitter for his performance against Dundee United this afternoon.

Morelos was in action for Rangers in their Scottish Premiership match against United away from home.

The Colombia international striker started the match and played for 73 minutes, as Steven Gerrard’s side won 2-1.

The 24-year-old striker struck United defender Mark Connolly after 12 minutes and received a yellow card, and perhaps he was lucky not to be shown a direct red card.

According to WhoScored, Morelos took three shots but none of them was on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 86.7%, won two headers, took 42 touches, and made one clearance.

Former Hibernian and Dundee forward McManus was following the match, and he was not impressed by the display produced by Morelos.

Title match

The win this afternoon means that Rangers are at the top of the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 47 points from 17 matches.

The Gers are still unbeaten in the league this season, and the signs are very positive indeed in terms of Gerrard’s team winning the title.
