Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal on Sky Sports.
Klopp has said that Arsenal did “exceptionally well” last season when they finished fifth in the Premier League table.
The Gunners were pipped to the fourth and final Champions League spot by bitter North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Liverpool boss Klopp made the comments about Arsenal while discussing the Premier League title race next season and the competition that the Reds will face.

Klopp said about Arsenal on Sky Sports: “It was always clear that these kinds of things will happen. Arsenal did, obviously, exceptionally well. Did I mention Chelsea? Probably not.”

Doing better
In our view, Arsenal did well last season, and the North London club could do even better this time around.
Not many would have fancied the Gunners to push for the Champions League places all the way last season, especially the way they started the campaign.
Arsenal have been quite active this summer and are a better team now than they were last season.
Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus is among the players the Gunners have signed in the summer transfer window so far.
Now, we do not think that Arsenal will challenge Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea for the Premier League title next season.
However, Arsenal will certainly compete for the Champions League places and will make an impact in the UEFA Europa League as well.
