Gleison Bremer joining Tottenham Hotspur has potentially hit a major snag.

Spurs turned to the Torino centre-back earlier this month after learning that Alessandro Bastoni was unattainable.

Three days ago, Tuttosport reported that Tottenham’s Fabio Paratici had lodged a £26 million offer for the burly defender, with the report adding that the Lilywhites director was set for talks with his opposite number in Turin about signing him.

However, it looks like Bremer might have an agreement with another club.

At least, that’s the view of Italian journalist and transfer market ‘expert’ Paolo Bargiggia who claims that the 25-year-old is likely to be joining Inter Milan, not Tottenham.

He told Calcionapoli24: “Bremer, however, already has an agreement with Inter, and the salary proposed by the Nerazzurri is too high for Napoli’s standards.”

Bad news?

Well, unfortunately it looks as though Bremer, like Bastoni, is also going to be beyond reach for Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

With Davinson Sanchez linked with a transfer to Monaco, Paratici and Antonio Conte are going to need at least one more central defender signed during the window.

And what a blow it would be if Bremer and Bastoni – seemingly their top two defensive targets – are unavailable.

There’s other fish in the sea and the Lilywhites are reportedly keen on Pau Torres of Villarreal too but, having rejected a move to North London last summer, might not be open to it either this time around.
