Ally McCoist has said that if Newcastle United complete an audacious transfer involving Neymar, it would simply be a disappointing move.
It was reported on Friday that PIF in particular are tempted by the prospect of signing the £606,000-a-week (Salary Sport) superstar.
While football fans across the world would fancy witnessing Neymar in a Newcastle United shirt, Ally McCoist has criticised the reported transfer.
McCoist is against Newcastle completing Neymar transfer
Simon Jordan said on Thursday as well that that despite the Brazilian legend being ‘remarkably talented’, the Magpies should avoid signing him because he comes with ‘a load of baggage’ and is a ‘show pony.’
Since their takeover, Eddie Howe’s side have been lauded for their sensible approach when it comes to recruitments, as they are yet to have broken the bank. Instead, the club have prioritised the signings of players that fit their system to a tee.
As Neymar could be the blockbuster transfer Newcastle were expected to make eventually, Ally McCoist has admitted that he is not a fan of their reported interest whatsoever.

“He is not a good signing for Man United. He’s not a good signing for Chelsea. He’s not a good signing for Newcastle. You can forget about him going [to] Arsenal or Man City”, he said on talkSPORT.
HITC View: Neymar is being viewed through a strange lens
Perhaps the only possible downsides of signing the Champions League winner are his wages, that could break their current structure and his poor injury record.
Aside from that, Ally McCoist and even Simon Jordan are simply looking at a transfer involving Neymar and Newcastle the same way most British pundits tend to do.
The PSG attacker is viewed as a player that merely showboats when he manages to combine aesthetics with incredible numbers, season after season.
The problem Neymar mainly has had in Paris is that he misses far too much football due to injuries.
But to simply dismiss his arrival as one that the Magpies should avoid is strange, considering the man, as Tite said via FotMob is an absolute ‘genius.’
