Rangers have announced that players will be investigated over an alleged incident

Nicola Sturgeon has addressed the latest alleged incident involving footballers in Scotland and Covid-19.
On Sunday night Rangers tweeted: “Rangers are aware of an alleged incident which is subject to an internal investigation. We will make no further comment.”
As reported by Record Sport, there are allegations that some players have been caught breaching Covid-19 protocols by attending a party.
If the allegations are found to be accurate, it would not be the first breach on the part of Rangers players this season.

Jordan Jones and George Edmundson were both handed fixed penalty fines by the police after attending a party following Steven Gerrard’s side’s 1-0 win against Kilmarnock in November.
They were also given seven-game suspensions by the SFA, and both left Ibrox on loan during the January transfer window.
Jones is at League One Sunderland, while Edmundson is with Wayne Rooney’s Derby in the English Championship.
The First Minister was asked about the latest alleged incident during her daily briefing on Monday.
As quoted by BBC Sport correspondent Chris McLaughlin, Sturgeon said: “I feel it’s taking me all my power not to stand here and use expletives when I get asked about football.”
Glasgow Live quote her as saying: “It’s really unfair to the vast majority of people in the country who don’t have the privileges that elite sportspeople have.
Addressing footballers in general, she added: “Please make sure your house is in order” and “Please stop breaking the rules”.

Speaking in August after separate breaches by eight Aberdeen players and Celtic defender Boli Bolingoli, Sturgeon threatened Scottish football with a “red card”.
As quoted by Record Sport, she said: “This is just not acceptable. We can’t have privileged football players just deciding they are not going to bother.
“Consider today the yellow card. The next time it will be the red card because you will leave us with absolutely no choice.”
