According to Jornal de Notícias (print edition, page 41, June 13, 2021), Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos will press the Ibrox club for a move away from the Gers.
What’s the story?
It has been reported that Rangers striker Morelos wants to leave Steven Gerrard’s side this summer.
FC Porto are interested in signing the Colombia international, who himself is inclined to move to the Portuguese giants.
The 25-year-old wants to have the guarantee that he will play in the Champions League next season, and Porto will feature in the group stage of Europe’s premier club competition.
Rangers, who won the Scottish Premiership title last season, will have to go through qualifiers to play in the Champions League group stage.
Morelos will reportedly press Rangers for a move away, but it may not that easy to get a deal done.
That’s because, according to the report, Porto’s initial offer of €12 million (£10.23m) for Morelos has been turned down by Rangers.

Alfredo Morelos exit inevitable?
If Morelos is determined to leave Rangers, then there is a good chance that he will – if, of course, the Scottish giants get what they want for him.
A transfer fee of £15m will reportedly be enough for Rangers to sell Morelos.
The summer transfer window will be open for several more weeks, and Rangers and Porto could eventually agree on a fee.
As reported by Sky Sports, Rangers paid £1 million to HJK in 2017 to bring Morelos to Ibrox.
