Everton talisman Alex Iwobi has lavished praise on to Marco Silva, who has been rumoured to be a potential candidate to replace Antonio Conte as the next Tottenham Hotspur manager.

In fact, it was reported a little over two weeks ago that Silva’s contract talks with Fulham were stalling as his interest had been piqued by the managerial vacancy at N17.

While it remains unknown whether Tottenham Hotspur do end up appointing Marco Silva as their next manager, Alex Iwobi certainly spoke of him highly..

The pair worked in tandem at Everton, which is why the former Arsenal wideman seems to be in-the-know of what makes the 45-year-old such a special coach.

Fulham currently sit in 9th place in the Premier League, which emphasises the incredible job the Portuguese tactician has done at Craven Cottage this season.

As Tottenham Hotspur are perhaps mulling over whether they should appoint Marco Silva as their next manager, Alex Iwobi explained why he was impressed by him.

“He was good, he was very good. He likes to play football, he’s very ambitious and he’s actually the reason I came to Everton because he called me and he said that we believe in you and in the qualities and the capabilities I was able to bring. “

“He made me feel very comfortable, of course he didn’t last long, but I enjoyed my time with him he was a good manager for me”, he said on Kammy and Ben’s Proper Football Podcast.

Marco Silva would certainly make an intelligent appointment as the next Tottenham manager, as Alex Iwobi has detailed what makes him a coach to keep your eye out for.

The only and biggest hurdle is that Silva is likely content at Fulham and perhaps believes this is only the start of his journey at the club.
