Speaking on his YouTube channel, Alasdair Gold has shared the latest update on Tottenham’s interest in Paulo Dybala and Marcel Sabitzer.

Spurs have been linked with this pair for some time now, and we’ve been due an update on the club’s view of these two players.

Fortunately, Gold has now addressed the speculation in his latest YouTube video, and his commenst on Sabitzer and Dybala certainly make for interesting reading.

“Obviously, we know Spurs, I’ve said this before, have got an interest in Marcel Sabitzer. He’s coming into the last year of his contract. He’s the type of player that, if they could do some kind of cheaper deal after funds come in, then they’ll look at it. He’s an in-demand player, but why not?” Gold said of Sabitzer before moving on to speak about Dybala.

“I think I even saw Paolo Dybala linked today, yes, of course Spurs have had an interest in Dybala in the past, but even with one year left on his contract you’re looking at big money. That’s the sort of deal they’d look at if they sold a superstar to be honest, and we don’t want that.”

It certainly sounds as though Sabitzer is a more realistic signing than Dybala at this point, but the London club clearly have an interest in both players.

Dybala may only be brought in if Spurs sell one of their top stars, and as Gold says, you’d be hard-pressed to find any Tottenham fan who wants that to happen.

These are seemingly two players worth keeping an eye on in the coming months as the summer transfer window draws closer and closer.
