Alan Shearer has given his verdict on Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah after watching him in action against Brentford.

The Newcastle United legend and BBC Sport pundit was hugely impressed by the display produced by Salah in the Premier League match in London.

So, what has Alan Shearer said about Liverpool star Mohamed Salah? Let’s take a look.

Praise for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah vs Brentford

Well, Liverpool hammered Brentford 4-1 away from home in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Mohamed Salah was one of the best players on the pitch. The Egyptian forward scored a goal and provided an assist.

Salah did not start the match. He came on as a substitute. And, as you can see, Newcastle United legend and BBC Sport pundit Alan Shearer was hugely impressed by his display.

Liverpool are now at the top of the Premier League table with 57 points from 25 matches.

Jurgen Klopp’s side will take on Luton Town at Anfield in the league on Wednesday evening.

My View: Mohamed Salah return a huge boost for Liverpool

While Liverpool did not exactly miss Mohamed Salah when he was away on international duty with Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations and then had a spell on the sidelines due to injury, there is no doubt that the Reds are a better team with him in it.

Salah’s return is a huge boost for Liverpool in their quest to win the Premier League title this season. The £34 million (BBC Sport) forward is a world-class player and is a goal machine.

The 31-year-old Egyptian star has scored 15 goals and given nine assists in 20 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for Liverpool this season.

Liverpool need Salah fit and firing for the rest of the season if they are to win the Premier League title this season.
