Alan Shearer has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Newcastle United’s defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Newcastle have suffered a heavy defeat to Tottenham away from home in London in the Premier League this afternoon.
Eddie Howe’s side actually took the lead in the 39th minute when Fabian Schar found the back of the net from a free kick.
However, Ben Davies restored parity just four minutes later, and then Tottenham stepped up their game in the second period to win the Premier League game with ease.

Newcastle held their own in the first half and did play well, but Tottenham destroyed the Magpies in the second half.
Harry Kane turned on the style and was hugely influential after the break.
Newcastle are pretty much safe from relegation, and we do not think that heavy loss at the hands of Tottenham is going to affect their chances of staying up in the Premier League.
