Alan Pardew has given his verdict on Liverpool goalkeeper and Celtic target Caoimhin Kelleher.
The former Newcastle United manager was impressed by the display produced by Kelleher in the final of the Carabao Cup against Chelsea.
So, what has Alan Pardew said about Celtic target and Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher? Let’s take a look.
Alan Pardew praises Celtic target Caoimhin Kelleher
Well, Alan Pardew has been looking back on Liverpool’s win against Premier League rivals Chelsea in the final of the Carabao Cup.
The former Newcastle United and West Ham United manager was hugely impressed by the display produced by Caoimhin Kelleher for Liverpool in their 1-0 win.
The Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper made some very good and important saves for the Reds, and there is no surprise that Celtic are keen on him.

As HITC revealed earlier on Monday, Celtic want to sign Kelleher from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
The Hoops have identified the goalkeeper as a potential replacement for Joe Hart, who is retiring at the end of the season.
Pardew said about Kelleher on talkSPORT (6:16 pm, February 25, 2024): “Special mention for Kelleher today because he was terrific, wasn’t he, in goal? Brilliant.”
My View: Caoimhin Kelleher should consider Celtic transfer
In my opinion, Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has to consider a potential move to Celtic in the summer transfer window.
I am not saying that Kelleher should leave Liverpool for sure at the end of the season, but the Republic of Ireland international goalkeeper should actually look into a possible transfer to Celtic.
Celtic are a massive club that regularly win the Scottish Premiership title and play in the UEFA Champions League. And, they want a new number one goalkeeper with Joe Hart retiring.
So, Kelleher would from being a number two at a big club to being a number one at another top club. That is something that the 25-year-old has to consider. After all, he is at the stage of his career where he has to play to enhance himself.
