Reported Arsenal and Wolves target Kaio Jorge is close to joining Juventus after a lengthy transfer saga for the teenager.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Brazilian attacker is close to joining the Serie A side in a €3m (£2.5m) deal.

As per the Sky Italian journalist, the ‘agreement’ is at the final stages between the two parties. Kaio will sign a five-year deal with Juventus.

CalcioMercato reported in March that Arsenal technical director Edu was a fan of the youngster and was keen to him. Whilst A Bola later claimed that Wolves had submitted an offer for the youngster.

Kaio already has his fans in his native Brazil, with Neymar revealing to PSG Talk via TEAMtalk that he is a fan of the youngster.

The Ligue 1 superstar said: “There is also Kaio Jorge do Santos, he is very talented. I have already seen two Libertadores matches where he was playing, he can shine in Europe.”

Arsenal and Wolves shouldn’t be down over Kaio Jorge snub

With Brexit rules making South American signings easier than ever for English clubs, Kaio would have been an exceptional addition to either Arsenal or Wolves.

The forward is noted for his ball retention abilities and his method of pressing opposition defenders.

Whilst the two Premier League sides missed out on Kaio, the South American market will be more approachable for clubs. Signings will likely become commonplace with new transfer rules now in place.

The signing of Gabriel Martinelli to Arsenal two years ago also proved that youngsters from the likes of Brazil can prosper in the Premier League.

Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus has also been successful in England since his move to the club from Palmeiras in 2017.
