Premier League newcomers Watford have expressed an interest in Boca Juniors left-back Frank Fabra, as reported by Argentine publication TYC Sports.
Xisco Munoz’s side have hardly stood still this summer, bringing in nine new players since securing automatic promotion from the Championship. But, despite securing the signatures of Josh King, Peter Etebo, Juraj Kuchca and Imran Louza, Watford are still set for a frantic end to an already busy window.
There are just two weeks left before the shutters come rattling down and the Hornets still have a couple of tasks on their to-do list.
A new centre-half is a priority. A speedy winger capable of playing anywhere across Munoz’s frontline would be well received too.
According to Tuttosport, however, the Serie A outfit want £9 million for the Brazilian powerhouse – a fee that Watford should be able to pay without too much fuss.

There appears to be a place at Vicarage Road for a new left-back too, despite the recent arrival of 31-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur flyer Danny Rose on a free-transfer.
After failing to make a single Premier League appearance in 2020/21, the England international will take time to get up to speed.
According to TYC, Watford have made contact with the agent of Frank Fabra, Boca Juniors’ 30-year-old Colombian. Fabra, who has produced five assists in 21 games this season, has a release clause of £13 million in his contract.
It remains to be seen whether Watford are willing to part with an eight-figure sum for a man who will turn 31 before the season is out.
