Rafaela Pimenta has stated that Denzel Dumfries still has Inter Milan ‘in his heart’. But the defender might consider a transfer amid interest from Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur.
Dumfries is enjoying a strong second season at San Siro this term. He also lit up the World Cup in Qatar this winter as the Netherlands reached the quarter-finals. The 42-cap dynamo offered one goal and two assists over five appearances as a key player in the Oranje squad.

Inter Milan paid PSV Eindhoven an initial €12.5m (£11m), plus €2.5m (£2m) in add-ons, for Dumfries in August 2021. He moved to Serie A after a showcase summer during Euro 2020. Now, the right-back has seven goals and 10 assists over 66 appearances for the Nerazzurri.

Aston Villa join Tottenham with an eye on Dumfries’ transfer from Inter Milan
Yet despite Dumfries having a contract running to 2025, a host of teams – including Aston Villa and Tottenham – are interested in his transfer from Inter Milan. Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Antonio Conte and Spurs managing director Fabio Paratici like Dumfries ‘a lot’.
But Inter Milan now value Dumfries at €60m (£53m) with Chelsea and Manchester United also keeping tabs on him. While Inter Live has added Aston Villa to his list of suitors in the Premier League. It also notes that Dumfries would only leave Inter for a top English team.

Dumfries’ agent, Pimenta, has now addressed the Dutchman’s San Siro future
Dumfries’ agent, Pimenta, has now addressed the Dutchman’s future at San Siro with sides taking an interest in his transfer. But while she admits they will let events unfold naturally, the defender’s heart still belongs to the Serie A side that now sits fourth in the standings.
“Denzel has played in great World Cups,” Pimenta has told Rai Sport, via Calciomercato. “I think Inter are happy [with him]. Today, he is an Inter player, he has the Nerazzurri colours in his heart. Then we’ll see what happens.”
Simone Inzaghi introduced Dumfries as a 76th-minute substitute as Inter Milan resumed their Serie A season this Wednesday. He would help the Nerazzurri see out a 1-0 win over leaders Napoli, also dealing the Azzurri their first Italian top-flight defeat of the campaign.
