Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte and managing director Fabio Paratici both like Denzel Dumfries ‘a lot’. Spurs will now target his transfer from Inter Milan during January.
That is according to Gazzetta dello Sport, which reports Spurs are ready to try their hand if the Nerazzurri show a willingness to let the Dutchman move. But Chelsea and Manchester United are also keeping tabs on the 26-year-old after he dazzled at the World Cup in Qatar.

Dumfries played a leading role as the Netherlands reached the quarter-finals before losing on penalties to Argentina. He started all five of Oranje’s fixtures and influenced all three of their goals in the Round of 16. Dumfries scored once and assisted twice to pip the USA 3-1.

Conte and Paratici like Dumfries ‘a lot’ as Tottenham eye a transfer with Inter Milan
Producing a host of strong showings in Qatar has put Dumfries’ name back on the radar of Premier League clubs. Some had already approached Inter Milan to discuss his transfer last summer, as well. But the Nerazzurri refused to consider the Rotterdam native’s departure.
Now, however, Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United all hope Inter Milan are open to granting Dumfries a transfer. Spurs chiefs Conte and Paratici both admire the right-back ‘a lot’ and believe he would plug a key gap in the Italian’s backline during the winter window.

Tottenham will at least try their hand if Inter Milan show any willingness to sell Dumfries in January. But interested parties must put forward offers worth €60m (£53m) just to get the San Siro hierarchy to hold further negotiations. He is also under contract through to 2025.
Chelsea are leading the race to take Dumfries from Serie A to the Premier League
Chelsea are also very keen on Dumfries’ transfer as the Stamford Bridge outfit consider the former PSV Eindhoven star to be a ‘perfect alternative’ to Reece James. Graham Potter has now lost his right-back for up to a month after scans showed he had suffered a knee injury.

Yet Manchester United are also in the mix as Erik ten Hag believes Dumfries can give them a ‘significant improvement’ on Aaron Wan-Bissaka. So, they hope Inter Milan are willing to sell Dumfries 18 months after joining from PSV for €12.5m (£11m), rising to €15m (£13m).
But despite Tottenham’s interest, Chelsea are the frontrunners to agree Dumfries’ transfer from Inter Milan. CalcioMercatoWeb reports the Blues lead interest in the 42-cap dynamo from Manchester United. The Premier League rivals may also each make offers in January.
