Well, Ben White appears to be closing in on a move to Arsenal.
This has been the case for quite some time – most of the summer for sure – but Sky Sports News reported this past weekend that the player was having his medical.
Arsenal will be paying £50 million for the player but the longer the delay, the more chance of it collapsing.
But it seems like this one is pretty much done and dusted.
Edu is head of football at the Emirates Stadium and he is now being followed on Instagram by the agent of the 23-year-old England international, which seems a massive indication that it’s done.
Good sign?
Well yes, it certainly suggests that a move for White has effectively been completed.
It seems like all Arsenal fans need now is an official announcement of the move.
If and when that comes, White will be their third signing of the summer, behind left-back Nuno Tavares and midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga.
A lot of supporters have reservations over the price-tag and £50 million is a hell of a lot for someone with only one Premier League season under his belt.
But journalist Duncan Castles revealed earlier in the week that payments to the Seagulls will be staggered, meaning that Arsenal don’t have to drop £50 million in one lump sum.
