Ben White is about to undergo a medical at Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, according to The Daily Mail.
What’s the story?
It is being reported this evening (6:30pm) that Arsenal hope to confirm the signing of White from Brighton and Hove Albion soon.
The Gunners will pay the Seagulls £50 million in transfer fee for the former Leeds United loanee.
The 23-year-old central defender will undergo a medical at Arsenal this weekend.
The Gunners have had bids of £40 million and then £47 million plus add-ons turned down by the Seagulls.

Busy transfer window
White looks set to be Arsenal’s third signing of the summer transfer window.
The Gunners have already made two signings.
Left-back Nuno Tavares has joined from Benfica, while midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga has moved from Anderlecht.

Both Tavares and Lokonga are 21, while White, who can also play as a right-back or in midfield, is just 23.
The former Leeds loanee has also played just one season in the Premier League.
It seems that at the moment Arsenal are signing young players who can be big in the future.
