The agent of Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez has confirmed that he has been in talks with Sevilla.
Speaking to Marca Colombia, Nestor Villarreal, Sanchez’s representative, confirmed that he has been in discussions with the UEFA Champions League club over the Tottenham defender.
However, Sevilla can’t make a move for the 41-cap Colombian international.
Villarreal said: “They are just rumours, I have spoken with the people from Seville, but at the moment they have the full squad.
“If there is a transfer from them, those rumours could be true, but concretely there is nothing, only conversations.”
The Andalusian side currently have a maxed-out squad. However, as per Fabrizio Romano, Jules Kounde could soon be off to the Premier League in the form of Tottenham’s London rivals Chelsea.
The Blues are keen to sign the defender. And if Kurt Zouma is not included in a deal to bring the Sevilla star to Stamford Bridge, it could open the door for Sanchez to make a move to Spain.

Sanchez has struggled to maintain a place in the Spurs starting XI over the past 12 months. Moreover, central defence appears to be Nuno Espirito Santo’s key area to improve on this summer.
Sevilla move makes sense for Sanchez
Cristian Romero is close to joining the club in what could potentially be a club-record transfer for Tottenham.
Whilst the departure of Toby Alderweireld last month means that a second centre-back will like be brought in this window.

Indeed, if Sevilla were to sell Kounde this summer without getting a replacement from Chelsea in return, it could open the door to Sanchez making the move to Spain.
But with the La Liga side competing in the Champions League next season and a familiar face in Erik Lamela already at the club, it could be a beneficial move for the Colombian international.
