Gabby Agbonlahor says Conor Gallagher ‘isn’t good enough’ for Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea, as he backed a transfer to David Moyes’ West Ham United.
The England midfielder has a big call to make on his future this summer after being part of troubled waters last season under the stewardship of three different managers – Thomas Tuchel labelled him ‘extraordinary’ and ‘outstanding’ last year (CFC official website).
Conor Gallagher has been on-loan before to another London club, Crystal Palace, but you would think Chelsea wouldn’t allow such a move now and they would want a permanent transfer if he leaves.
With that in mind, former Aston Villa striker Agbonlahor thinks the 23-year-old ‘suits’ West Ham and he should move to the London Stadium, as he posted on Twitter.
It has been suggested that Gallagher won’t be part of Pochettino’s plans going forward, with the likes of Tottenham and West Ham expressing interest in his talents.
But they aren’t the only ones knocking on that door, Newcastle aren’t giving up on bringing him on board, as Agbonlahor shared his thoughts.

“Not good enough,” said Agbonlahor “He suits a West Ham.”
Gallagher is underappreciated
Many players, if not all of them, struggled at Chelsea last season, so to use that as an example to judge Gallagher isn’t fair.
He should be given a crack under Pochettino at Stamford Bridge, but if he doesn’t want him, then he will be somebody else’s gain.
A team like West Ham should look at Tammy Abraham’s success at Roma, what Fikayo Tomori has done at AC Milan, Marc Guehi becoming an England international at Crystal Palace.
All of these were deemed not good enough at Chelsea, yet look what they have done since and it wouldn’t be a surprise if Gallagher does the same at his next club, so the Hammers should pounce for him.
